setup & usage

⚠ zoho crm self-client oauth (3 fields)

zoho crm uses a self-client oauth2 with 3 secrets. in the zoho api developer console, create a client of type self client, then generate a grant token and exchange it for a refresh token. you must provide oto with:

  • client_id — the self client's id
  • client_secret — its secret
  • refresh_token — the refresh token obtained from the exchange (scopes ZohoCRM.*)

    • enter these 3 fields in oto on your account (/account), connector zoho. byo only.

    ▸ what you can do

    generic crud on your zoho crm modules (contacts, leads, deals, accounts…) from claude.

  • "list my modules" → zoho_modules, "list the deals" → zoho_record (op list)
  • "find the contact whose email = a@b.com" → zoho_record (op search, zoho criteria)
  • "create a lead" → zoho_record (op create), "update this deal" → op update
  • "add a note to this record" → zoho_note (op create)
    • ⚙ multiple organisations

    this connector accepts multiple organisations: each stored credential becomes a named account (one name per organisation), at your level, your team's or your org's.

  • the first one doesn't need a name; from the second on, each one carries its own (the first then takes the name "principal", renamable)
  • without specification, the agent takes the only stored organisation, otherwise the one marked as default; otherwise the call is refused, naming the available organisations — never a random choice
  • target a organisation for a call: _account="<name>" on the tool; list them: oto_identity(op='list', connector='zoho') (scope='org' or scope='group' for the org's or team's)
  • set the default: oto_identity(op='set', connector='zoho', identity_id='<name>'); rename: op='rename' with new_name
  • ⚠️ no tool walks through the organisations on its own: a total across several organisations is obtained by calling each one (_account) and adding up
