⚠ your zapier ai actions api key

zapier exposes to agents a catalogue of actions that you explicitly authorize — not a zap-management api.

  • go to actions.zapier.com, choose the actions to expose
  • get the associated api key (x-api-key header); the set of exposed actions is attached to this key
  • paste it into your oto connector keys under zapier
    • ▸ run your zapier actions in natural language

    discover the authorized actions and run them with a natural-language directive.

  • zapier_list_actions lists the actions exposed by your key (id, description, fields)
  • zapier_execute_action runs an action via its action_id + instructions (zapier fills the fields left in "ai guess" mode)
  • pass preview_only=True to see what would be done without running it
  • zapier_execution_log gives you the detail of an execution
    • ⚙ multiple comptes

    this connector accepts multiple comptes: each stored credential becomes a named account (one name per compte), at your level, your team's or your org's.

  • the first one doesn't need a name; from the second on, each one carries its own (the first then takes the name "principal", renamable)
  • without specification, the agent takes the only stored compte, otherwise the one marked as default; otherwise the call is refused, naming the available comptes — never a random choice
  • target a compte for a call: _account="<name>" on the tool; list them: oto_identity(op='list', connector='zapier') (scope='org' or scope='group' for the org's or team's)
  • set the default: oto_identity(op='set', connector='zapier', identity_id='<name>'); rename: op='rename' with new_name
  • ⚠️ no tool walks through the comptes on its own: a total across several comptes is obtained by calling each one (_account) and adding up
