setup & usage

⚠ your n8n api key + instance url

n8n is self-hosted or runs in the cloud, so two fields are expected.

  • api_key — from your instance, open settings then n8n API and create an api key
  • base_url — your instance's url (e.g. https://your-instance.app.n8n.cloud or your self-hosted url)

    • fill in both in your oto connector keys under n8n. more info at n8n.io

    ▸ manage workflows and executions

    list, activate and inspect your workflows and their runs.

  • n8n_list_workflows lists workflows (filter active, tags), n8n_get_workflow details one workflow
  • n8n_activate_workflow / n8n_deactivate_workflow start or stop its triggers/cron
  • n8n_list_executions the executions (filter by workflow or status success/error/waiting)
  • n8n_get_execution the detail of one execution (with include_data for per-node data)
    • ⚙ multiple comptes

    this connector accepts multiple comptes: each stored credential becomes a named account (one name per compte), at your level, your team's or your org's.

  • the first one doesn't need a name; from the second on, each one carries its own (the first then takes the name "principal", renamable)
  • without specification, the agent takes the only stored compte, otherwise the one marked as default; otherwise the call is refused, naming the available comptes — never a random choice
  • target a compte for a call: _account="<name>" on the tool; list them: oto_identity(op='list', connector='n8n') (scope='org' or scope='group' for the org's or team's)
  • set the default: oto_identity(op='set', connector='n8n', identity_id='<name>'); rename: op='rename' with new_name
  • ⚠️ no tool walks through the comptes on its own: a total across several comptes is obtained by calling each one (_account) and adding up
